This piece was created in 2022 for To Gather, a Black Collectivity curation for On The Boards. Through this piece, I activated oral histories from five Black dancers in Seattle of all ages and styles. Movement was created from scores inspired by the narratives and parts of their narratives were read aloud during the show. During the piece, the fourth wall was broken as audiences were asked to participate in a call and response practice; we called names of other Black dancers in the city into the space.  This piece wove communal history and dance together. It also required audiences to engage in the history they were learning beyond entertainment purposes. They were not allowed to be a passive audience. Our Constellations helped me answer questions around how I can use my physical practice to honor the legacy of those who an institutional archive may ignore.
